Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 May 2026

1. Who we are

Prelude ("we", "us") is a digital archive for research and creative work. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: your email address and authentication identifiers.
  • Content: the entries, files, and notes you choose to upload.
  • Technical data: basic logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use it

We use your data only to provide the Service: authenticating you, storing and displaying your archive, sending essential service emails, and protecting against abuse. We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Storage and security

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted and protected by row-level security so only you can read your own entries.

5. Third parties

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, database, authentication, and email delivery) that process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

6. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your content at any time from within the app. Under GDPR and similar laws you also have the right to request correction, restriction, or a copy of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Children

Prelude is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
